What is online therapy?

The sessions can be held face to face online or over the phone.  Please note that online therapy is not suited for those with acute mental health needs or those that are in crisis.

Will therapy help me even if I am already taking medications?

Yes, therapy can be a helpful addition to an individual who may be prescribed and taking medications. Medications are used to assist with the symptoms you may be experiencing. Therapy can help you to process your thoughts and feelings. These sessions can also give you the ability to get to the root cause of the issues you are experiencing.

How often will me meet?

To ensure you are getting the best treatment, it is recommended that session's take place once a week. This will ensure continuity of treatment. This is a recommendation as each client’s needs will vary. Our sessions will adjust as needed.

What will I get out of therapy?

This is a great question as many people ask this. Whatever you put into therapy is what you will get out of it. If you are able to be transparent and you have a desire to really work through issues then you will be able to get a lot out of the therapy you receive.

How many sessions will we have?

There is no magic number that can be placed on the amount of session you will have as each person is different, and their varying needs will differ as well. However, this is something that we will discuss at the beginning of treatment and will be assessed throughout the therapy process.
